Ever since they first noticed birds, humans have dreamed of flying. And since the Wright Brothers made their historic flight, many have achieved this dream. Not sure if you share this dream? Are you curious but not sure if you want to go the whole hog yet?
Flight simulators are some of the most widely used forms of virtual reality around these days. They’re used for fun, giving many the possibility to live out their dreams of flying even if they, for some reason, wouldn’t be qualified to become a pilot (e.g. medical reasons). And they have their serious side, being used in pilot and aircrew training in the military and civilian aviation world, and also for testing new avionics and in-flight software. |
